President Jeff Williams called Dec. 11, 2023 Madison/ Virgil USD 386 Board of Education meeting to order at 7 p.m. Roll call was answered by Williams, Jennifer Watts, Todd Pyle, Gary Kile, Dallas Luthi, Ty Gaines and Jannette Luthi. Also attending were Superintendent Tammy Baird, Kristy Johnson, Amanda Schild, Marcie Harrison, Kim Gaines, Amy Hind, Jim Lentz, Julie Buster, Alana Engle, Ryan Engle, Makenna Engle, Avery Miller, Lane Darbro, Lucie Celte’, Diane Williams and Justin Isch. Mark Adams joined the meeting at 8 p.m.

Greenwood County Hospital/Eureka Clinic Received Grant To Support Efforts To Increase Cancer Screenings
EUREKA – Greenwood County Hospital (GWCH)/ Eureka Clinic announced that it has been awarded a generous grant of $6,600 from the KHC Clinic Assistance Program to support and enhance ongoing efforts to increase cancer screenings among the community.

Madison Pacesetters 4-H Club
On Dec. 6, 2023, at the Sauder Center in Madison, the Madison Pacesetters celebrated the holiday season with their annual Christmas meeting and party. The roll call question for the meeting was, “What did you ask Santa for this year?” It was answered by 32 members, one cloverbud, and two leaders.
