One senior, two juniors and one sophomore from Eureka Junior/Senior High School traveled to Kansas City, Mo., over the weekend to compete in the American Royal Livestock judging contest. Patsy Ruth Frakes of Eureka, died on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Greenwood County Hospital, in Eureka, at the age of 91. She was born on April 2, 1932, in Pratt, the daughter of Dorsey and Bonnie (Collins) Moon. She was raised in Pratt and attended local schools. While still in school she met Clarence Lee “Pete” Frakes. They were united in marriage on August 15, 1947, in Miami, Texas. To this union, three daughters were born.
