Following the 2023 local election and with the start of a new term, Mayor Dave Harris and Councilman Larry Walford were sworn in for continued service to the City of Hamilton. Christopher Ray was appointed to fill the vacant council seat. The Greenwood County 4-H Livestock Sweepstakes Team represented Kansas 4-H in their third National 4-H Contest of the year with a trip to the 2023 Western National 4-H Meat Judging Contest in Fort Collins, Colo.
