Regular Business Discussed At Weekly Commission Meeting
Jennifer Watts presented the weekly report for the Road and Bridge Department, on Monday, May 6, during the weekly meeting of the Greenwood County Commission. Watts shared that cleaning and removal of debris from roads and bridges continues. Though this is ongoing, everything is now passable. Watts noted that pertinent data was collected and provided to Emergency Management Director Levi Vinson for submission to FEMA. Local FFA Chapter Named State Champions
The Livestock Judging Team of Lyle Perrier, Corinne Nelson, TJ Mills and Hannah Perrier were named State Champions at the 2024 Kansas FFA State Contests on April 30. H. Perrier was fifth high individual overall and sixth in oral reasons. L. Perrier claimed sixth high individual overall and ninth in oral reasons. Nelson won the oral reasons division.
