The Greenwood County Conservation District is sponsoring the “King of the Prairie” - Tallest Bluestem Contest. The entries must be from within Greenwood County and from the current growing season. Entries may be taken to Ranch Aid Feed & Supply in Eureka or RanchLand Feed in Madison by Friday, Nov. 6 at 12 p.m. or be taken directly to Greenwood County Community Center (GC3)/Eureka Downs Concourse Building by 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7. Entries are asked to be labeled with the participant’s name. Entries will be displayed at the GC3 on Saturday, and the winner will be announced at the annual banquet. Prizes will be awarded.
