With Eureka football concluding district play 0-4, the Tornadoes did not advance to 1A State bracket play. However, the Tornadoes will host 3A Hiawatha (0-8) this Friday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. for their final game of the season.
In week eight, the Tornadoes traveled to Pittsburg to face St. Mary’s Colgan, last Thursday, Oct. 22. St. Mary’s Colgan dominated the Tornadoes, with Eureka falling 0-51.
“This past week was a rough reminder of how far we have to go to be a consistently successful program,” stated coach Jonah McKee. “Colgan is a well coached team and a community that takes winning seriously. We have seen multiple teams like that this year and I hope it makes our kids understand how focused we need to be about being successful in our every day lives,” he continued.
The Tornadoes will conclude their 2026 season this Friday at McGinnis Field. Kick-off is slated for 6 p.m.
