“In June of 1922 workmen broke ground for a new office building erected by Dr. W.T. Grove on the northwest corner of Third and Elm Streets. The building was to be two stories and a basement. Frontage was to be 70 feet on Third and 50 feet on Elm. Dr. Grove’s office rooms would occupy the southeast corner of the first floor. He had arranged for an operating room and emergency bedrooms. The remaining space on the first as well as the entire second floor will be divided into office suites. The building was to be of tile construction, with red compressed brick veneer. It was of an architectural design permitting of a third story and elevator equipment to be added when desired.
