Eureka’s Cross Country team will host its annual home meet next Tuesday, Oct. 6 at the Eureka Country Club.
Races are slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
The event comes after Eureka competed at the 31st Annual Oxford Invitational at Napa Walla Park.
In the high school boys open 5K, Tornado Will Morris earned a 5th place medal with a run of 19:13.29.
Eureka’s Aiden Osborne earned an 11th place medal with a time of 21:15.26 and Tornado Tavin Austin placed 15th, with a time of 22:08.84.
In the high school girls’ open 5K, Eureka’s Maela Neill earned a 13th place Medal with a time of 26:34.65 and Lady Tornado Reata Bogle placed 20th with a time of 32:56.40.
In the junior high boys races, 8th graders Owen Combs and Blake Wells competed in the 2-mile race, while Cooper Del Pozzo ran a one-mile. Combs placed 8th with a time of 15:45.46 and Wells placed 9th with a time of 16:36.09.
Del Pozzo completed the race with a time of 6:33.65, and placed 10th.
Eureka will host their next event on Tuesday of next week, before competing at TVL on Oct. 15.
