Did You Know?

The image of a retirement spent playing 18 holes a day on a beautiful golf course may appeal to millions. But data from the National Golf Foundation (NGF) indicates that the appeal of golf extends beyond retirees. In fact, the NGF reports that the largest group of on-course golfers is people between the ages of 18 and 34. Indeed, 6.3 million people in that age bracket play golf compared to 5.4 million men and women golfers age 65 and older. It’s also worth noting that 57 percent of the 26.6 million on-course golfers in the United States are 50 and under, which serves as a testament to the popularity of this sport among individuals for whom retirement is a long way off.
