WELCA met on Sept. 3 at the Christ Lutheran Church Bell Tower Room in Eureka. Joni Booth called the meeting to order. Pastor Sue Ellen Wenthe led devotions from Ezekiel 33, “Turn Back, Turn back from your evil ways.”
Roll call was answered by 7 members with a Bible verse. Camille Frakes joined the group later.
The minutes of July 2 were read by Secretary Sue Erickson.
Rene Wiggins gave the Treasurer’s Report.
Secretary Erickson presented $3 for the blueribbon prize money from the county fair for the quilt for the Bazaar. A bill was presented for $53 for the backing and batting for the new quilt.
For new business, Wiggins moved to donate the October First of the Month monies to the Eureka Senior Center Friendship Meals. Motion passed.
Booth gave the program, “Understanding God & The Bible.” Members helped with Bible verses.
The Oct. 1 meeting will be led by devotions by Frakes, program by Wiggins and refreshments by Erickson.
Booth led the Lord’s Prayer in unison. Amy Schouten served refreshments.
