The Greenwood County 4-H Livestock Judging Team traveled to Coffeyville, on Friday, Aug. 14 to compete in the 2026 Inter- State Fair and Rodeo Livestock Judging Contest. 120 students from Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas judged in three age categories; placing six livestock market classes and giving oral reasons.
The Intermediate team of Haddie Mae Seaton, Jorja Beeman and Bradyn Greenwood placed second in the contest. In addition, Clay Teter, Henry Lindamood and Charlie Lindamood also judged in the Intermediate division and finished the day in 7th place. Henry Perrier participated as the only Greenwood County 4-Her in the Senior Division.
Seaton had an outstanding day and was named the High Individual in the Intermediate Division. She earned a folding director's chair for her efforts.
The trip to Coffeyville is the last practice contest for the 4-Hers before the 2026 Kansas State 4-H Livestock Sweepstakes Contests to be held at Kansas State University in Manhattan on Aug. 22- 23.
