While many high school sophomores are focused on school, sports and making weekend plans, one Eureka student is already taking steps toward becoming a business owner.
As a sophomore at Eureka Junior/Senior High School, Caden Nusz recently started his own exterior window-cleaning business, serving business and homeowners in the Eureka area.
He shared that the idea came from wanting to build something of his own rather than eventually working for someone else. His goal is to grow the business t h r oughout high school and, by the time he graduates, have a full-time business that he can continue to build.
“I just didn’t like the idea of working for someone else,” Nusz said. “I wanted to have my own thing and hopefully grow it throughout high school.”
Another reason he chose window cleaning is because he enjoys the work itself. He believes people should be able to make a living doing something they enjoy, and window cleaning is something he finds fun. “I just want to help homeowners keep their home looking clean ,” he said. Currently, the business focuses on exterior window cleaning. He plans to eventually expand his services to include pressure washing.
Nusz is the son of Jenny Hamilton and Jason Nusz.
