Women from across Greenwood and surrounding counties are invited to attend Women in Ag 2026, a free, hands-on day focused on practical farm and ranch skills, wellness and self-reliance.
The ninth annual event will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Greenwood Hotel, located at 110 E. 3rd St. in Eureka.
Hosted by the Greenwood County Conservation District, in cooperation with the Woodson & Wilson County Conservation Districts and the Kansas Association of Conservation Districts, the event is designed to provide women with useful information and skills they can apply in their homes, gardens, farms and everyday lives.
This year’s program will feature keynote speakers Melissa Davis and Lynnea Decker.
Davis, a devoted wife, mom and homesteader, finds peace and purpose in nature and country living. She is passionate about growing and preserving her garden and believes nourishing foods and simple, natural living are important components of wellness.
Decker, a wife, mother of three, personal trainer and holistic wellness coach, helps women build healthier, more balanced lives through simple habits rooted in nutrition, movement, herbs and nature.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of topics, including beef and the new USDA Food Pyramid, fencing laws and working with the Deed Office, along with numerous other subjects.
