The Eureka community is invited to participate in a vital blood drive on Tuesday, August 4, from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Eureka United Methodist Church, located at 521 N. Main.
This event offers a critical opportunity to support the regional blood supply. Individuals who donated during the previous drive in June are once again eligible to donate. In addition, double red cell donors— who give a concentrated dose of red blood cells—are especially encouraged to participate due to ongoing high demand.
The drive is being supported by the Greenwood County Hospital Auxiliary, whose volunteers will greet and assist donors throughout the event. Donors will also be treated to home-baked pies provided by members of the Community Benefit organization as a gesture of appreciation. Appointments can be made by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or by visiting redcrossblood. org. Community members are urged to schedule an appointment and help ensure lifesaving blood is available for patients in need.
