1. What interests you about serving in this role?
I think Kansans in the Fourth District deserve better leadership than Ron Estes. There is a hunger in our country for leadership rooted in integrity, accountability, and the courage to put people over party. That is the kind of leader I am and it is why I am in this race. When I was a kid, my dad told me that “protecting freedom for future generations requires sacrifice,” and I think this is a moment that calls for it. If I have the experience, judgment, temperament, and ability to serve my country in this moment, then it is my duty.......
2. How do you prioritize competing demands with limited resources?
Throughout my career, I’ve managed competing priorities in both the private and nonprofit sectors. I start by listening, gathering facts, and focusing on where limited resources can have the greatest impact. I believe every decision in government should be guided by three questions: Does it solve a real problem? Does it use taxpayer dollars responsibly? Does it improve people’s lives? Good leadership requires setting aside politics, being transparent about difficult choices, and remaining flexible as circumstances change. My approach is practical, data-driven, and focused on long-term results rather than short-term political wins.
3. If elected, what would your top three priorities be during your first year?
First, making life more affordable for everyday Kansans by improving access to healthcare and housing and doing away with the current tariff policy. Second, strengthen our economy by supporting Kansas farmers, small businesses, and workforce development while ensuring new industries create good-paying jobs here at home. Third, restore accountability and trust in government by increasing transparency, reducing the influence of special interests (overturn Citizens United), and working across party lines to solve problems instead of fueling division. Kansans deserve a representative who focuses on results, not political theater.
4. Please list personal information or other information you feel is important.
I am a fifth-generation Kansan, an attorney, a business owner, and a mother. I also bring experience that will allow me to hit the ground running in Congress. After law school, I served as Staff Attorney for the National Congress ofAmerican Indians,where I worked with members of Congress to help advance national legislation. That experience taught me how legislation is drafted, negotiated, and passed--and how to build the grassroots support needed to turn good ideas into law. I’m ready to put that experience to work delivering results for the people of Kansas.
