1. What interests you about serving in this role?
I am a Kansas mom, immigration lawyer, and concerned US citizen. We need representation that understands they are meant to serve the People who elect them, not just the ones who can give them the most money. We need to restore integrity and honesty to our public offices and reset the standard we have come to expect from our politicians and elected officials. I want institutional reform that guarantees this government will be of, by, and for the People – all of the People – for the next 250 years.
2. How do you prioritize competing demands with limited resources?
We must prioritize the most important and urgent needs first.We have an aging population.We have young people who aren’t having children because they see no hope of obtaining the necessities of life on most incomes today.The average age of first-time homebuyers has doubled and people are leaving the country because they see no hope of realizing the American dream for themselves.
We have to make life livable again.We must strengthen our middle class, empower our unions to fight for it, and rebalance the wealth and power structure in this nation. There’s no path forward without that.
3. If elected, what would your top three priorities be during your first year?
-Working towards Healthcare for All and ensuring social security will remain solvent.
-Institutional reform including term limits and campaign finance reform, rules of ethics for politicians and elected officials to ensure consequences when they lie or spin information to intentionally mislead the public.
-Enforcing our antitrust laws.This will impact every industry in our nation and go a long way in giving power back to the People. Breaking up monopolies will help our farmers retain control of their own industry, allow for small businesses to be competitive again, and encourage competitive pricing that helps keep costs lower for the consumer.
4. Please list personal information or other information you feel is important.
We the People have a unique opportunity this year to vote out establishment politicians who serve their party over the People. I’m a political outsider who won’t be bought by special interests. I have been in the same position as many of my fellow Kansans – voting how I was “supposed to” and being let down, misled, and manipulated by these self-serving corporate elites.The status quo is not going to save us.We don’t need more country club politicians, we need people who are in it to fight for the future of all of our children. I am that candidate.
