Greenwood County Extension Agent Submitted Resignation

Greenwood County Extension Agent Alisha Fisher will conclude her service as the county’s Family and Community Wellness agent on Friday, July 31.

Fisher will return to her home state of Nebraska, where she has accepted the position of Aging Services Program Manager for Seward County. In her new role, she will coordinate outreach, assistance, and educational programming for older adults across 11 communities and rural areas throughout the county. for older adults.

then, I have built friendships and connections that I will always cherish. As in many rural communities, the people are at the heart of everything, and Greenwood County is a wonderful example of that. The love people have for this community is contagious, and I feel incredibly grateful to have been a small part of it.”

Fisher said the decision to leave Greenwood County was a difficult one, with the opportunity to be closer to family and friends playing a significant role in her decision.

She has served as Greenwood County’s Family and Community Wellness agent since Jan. 5, 2025.

The Greenwood County Extension Office is expected to post the position in the near future and begin accepting applications to fill the vacancy.
