Twenty Teams Competed In Third Annual Clasen Family Memorial Junior/Senior Tournament
15-18 Division Winners

A total of 20 teams competed in the third annual Clasen Family Memorial Junior/Senior Tournament on Saturday, June 27.

Although just the third annual event for the Clasen Family Memorial, the junior/senior tournament has been an event held at Eureka Country Club for years. The Clasen Family took over the event, in place of the Forest Graves Memorial. Both team members tee off each hole, pick the best ball and play alternate shot from there.

In the 9-11 junior age division, Asher and Isaac Boone claimed top honors with a 37. Second place went to Hudson Dean and Zekiah Kern with a 40. Third place went to Miah and Bryan Hughes, who shot a 41. Other youth competing in the 9-11 division were: Brylee Boone, Hayden Dean, Rook Samuels, Emory Boone and Landry Hughes..

In the 12-14 division, Liam and Justin Mead claimed top honors with a 38. Second placed went to Noah Riemann and Jacob McKenzie with a 42 and third place went to Nolan Riemann and Jay McKenzie, with a score of 45. Other youth participating in the 12-14 division were: Cooper Wunderlich, and Natalie Pennington.

The winning score in the 15-18 junior age division was turned in by two teams. Both Mason and Scott Hughes and Maddox and Andy Hughes each turned in a 42, with Mason and Scott Hughes winning the scorecard playoff and first place honors. Third place went to Zavien and Justin Kern, who shot a 47. Other youth competing in the 15-18 division were Camden Wunderlich Henry Perrier, Kole Swafford and Madalyn Langer.

Contests for “Closest to the Pin” and “Longest Drive” were also held for youth participants. Winners were as follows: Closest to the pin (on #6): 9-11: Asher Boone; 1214: Liam Mead; 15-18: Kole Swafford.

Longest Drive:

9-11: Miah Hughes; 1214: Nolan Riemann; 15-18: Mason Hughes.

Putting contest:

9-11: Asher Boone; 1214: Liam Mead; 15-18: Kole Swafford.

The Clasen Family Memorial will also host the third annual Fall Brawl, a 2-man 6-6-6- style tournament (scramble-alternate shot-best ball), on Saturday, Sept. 19.
