Another Toronto Days is in the book. The weather looked like it was going to dampen the festivities, but we escaped that bullet. We got a little shower or two over the weekend, but that was all. The temperature was just about perfect Saturday evening for the parade.
I wasn’t able to attend very many of the activities. I’ve been having pain in my left hip and left leg. Kathe Hammond took pictures for the paper. Grateful to her for that. I watched the fireworks, got breakfast for us, then watched the parade and that was it for me. I feel bad about not getting any pictures.

The fireworks show Friday night was good. I hadn’t actually been out to the lake to watch the fireworks for several years. I have just sat in the front yard and watched the show from there. You could see the ones that went up in the air.
I was sitting there watching the show when all of a sudden there was a big boom with a mushroom cloud and I thought something had gone wrong and made a comment about it and several people sitting near to where I was said, no everything is ok that was a gas bomb! There was more than one of those.
Answer: French Fries! Who doesn’t love French fries?
The car wash is open. Now that the spring rains have stopped, it’s a good time to wash your vehicle. There is a soapy scrub brush and of course the wand for washing. Haven’t checked it out yet, but I plan to this week.
