On Saturday, June 20, family and friends of Karen Davis, had a get together at the Toronto Senior Center. Several friends and family showed up for an afternoon of visiting and good food to enjoy visiting Karen again who was in town from Florida. A good time was had by all in attendance.
Light colored clothing, sun hats, sunscreen, and lots of water is on tap for this weekend. The days are going to be fun, but let's be safe also.

I drove out to the dam Saturday evening and several flood gates were open. That was no surprise really considering all the rain we’ve been getting.
Early Friday morning at 4 a.m., I went out and dumped the rain gauge and it had 4 1/2.” That was for Wednesday night through Friday morning. A couple days before that we got 1 1/2” in 45 minutes. I should’ve been writing on the calendar how much I dump out each time so I’d know how much total rain we’ve gotten for the month of June.
I was awake that early as I had not been able to get to sleep thanks to all the thunder.

We hope everyone has a fun, fun, fun weekend! Be careful when lighting fireworks, be cautious in the heat, check on elderly neighbors and when shooting fireworks be respectful of Veterans in your area and don't shoot your fireworks in their area. Also, be cautious around dogs. More dogs come up missing over the July 4th weekend than any other weekend.
