WELCA met on June 4 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Eureka in the Bell Tower Room. Joni Booth called the meeting to order with devotions, “A Child of God.”
Five members answered roll call with a Bible verse.
The minutes of the May 7 meeting were read by Secretary Sue Erickson. She also gave the treasurer’s report for Rene Wiggins.
Communications included The Lord’s Diner, Oaks Mission 225 years ministry, Lutheran World Relief 2025 Year In Review, Lutheran Campus Ministry and Central States Synodical Organization schedule.
In Old Business, it was noted that VBS was successful with an average of 28 in attendance daily.
The Prayer List was updated.
Margaret Spires continued with the previous lesson: God says “I am who I am. I am the Bread of Life. I am the True Vine.” John 6, John 12, John 15 and Exodus were studied with members assisting. The Lord’s Prayer was recited in unison.
The next meeting will be held on July 2 with Erickson giving devotions and the program “Sharing Quilts,” and Booth providing refreshments.
Members enjoyed refreshments provided by Camille Frakes.
