The Eureka Herald Announces Pricing Changes Effective July 1, 2026

Effective July 1, The Eureka Herald will implement updated pricing for subscriptions, advertising services, and various photo products as rising production and delivery costs continue to impact the newspaper industry.

The adjustment comes as businesses across the country face increasing expenses for materials, manufacturing, and shipping. Among the most significant challenges is the continued increase in postal rates. The United States Postal Service (USPS) is expected to raise rates by approximately 9.1% this year alone, bringing total postal increases to more than 70% over the past five years.

For nearly two decades,

staff has worked diligently to absorb rising operational costs while minimizing price changes for readers and advertisers. Throughout that time, the newspaper has remained committed to investing in the quality, service and turnaround times that local residents have come to expect.

“While we have absorbed much of these increased costs over the years, this adjustment is necessary to ensure we can continue providing reliable local news coverage and quality keepsake products for our community,” stated editor Robin Wunderlich.

Photo Product Pricing The following photo product prices will change effective July 1: 8x10 Memory Mates will increase to $14; 4x6 magnets will increase to $6.50 and buttons will increase to $6.
