On Sunday, May 31,shortly after 3 p.m., the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office, Greenwood County EMS, Eureka Fire/Rescue, and the Fall River Fire Department responded to US 400 Highway near the 345‑mile marker for a report of a pickup truck and camper that had rolled over on the highway.
According to the Greeenwood County Sheriff’s Office, Daniel Carlyle, 75, of Goddard, was driving a white 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck pulling a 2014 32‑foot Arctic Fox travel trailer westbound on US 400 Highway. Approximately 0.3 miles east of AA Road, he lost control of the pickup, causing both the truck and the travel trailer to overturn.
Daniel’s passenger, Tammy Carlyle, 68, also of Goddard, sustained possible serious injuries and was transported by Greenwood County EMS to Fredonia Regional Hospital for treatment.
