Three County Residents Graduated From Kansas Connections Academy

ELKHART - Three Greenwood County resident s recent ly graduated from the Kansas Connections Academy, a tuition-free, online public school serving students in grades K-12. The school’s 219 graduating high school seniors celebrated through both an in-person ceremony at the Midwest Trust Center on the Johnson County Community College campus and a virtual ceremony on May 15. The hybrid events honored the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 and gave students from across the state the opportunity to celebrate their graduation alongside family and friends.

The Kansas Connections Academy Class of 2026 includes graduates from communities across the state. Among the graduating class, 45 percent plan to attend twoor four-year colleges or universities. Additionally, 27 percent plan to enter the workforce, 16 percent plan to receive vocational training, and 11 percent plan to serve in the military or take a gap year. The graduates were collectively awarded approximately $1.8 million in scholarships and awards.

Among those graduating were Greenwood County residents: Brianna Marie Diaz of Madison, Braden Lee Grimmett of Eureka and Ashtyn Claire May of Severy.
