– submitted by Sue Erickson, secretary WELCA met on May 7 at the Christ Lutheran Church (CLC) Bell Tower Room in Eureka. Joni Booth called the meeting to order. Camille Frakes gave devotions from James: “Temper Tantrums.”
Roll call was answered by 6 members with a Bible verse.
Sue Erickson read the minutes of the April 2 meeting. Rene Wiggins gave the treasurer’s report.
Three Thank You’s were read.
Discussion included the sign repair at the Upper Fall River Church.
Vacation Bible School (VBS) plans are complete and assignments have been made. VBS plans will be May 26-29 from 9 a.m. to Noon at CLC.
Amy Schouten gave the program written by Margaret Spires, “God’s name…God’s Promise: from Exodus 1-V115. Names in Bible times were important and meaningful. Members learned the Divine meaning of their names.
Spires will continue this program next month on June 4. Joni Booth will present devotions and Frakes will furnish refreshments.
Refreshments were served by Schouten.
