Man oh man, did the wind blow Sunday? I don’t know of any major damage from the wind and I don’t know how there wasn’t, as hard as it was blowing.

What fruit floats because it’s 25% air?

Hello to all in area nursing and assisted living facilities; Hello, also, to all in area hospitals and rehab centers.

We have just a few days more of the dumpster being here for stuff you want to throw away that the trash truck won’t pick up. But do NOT put tires, batteries, rocks, limbs, construction debris or household trash. Booster Club volunteers have to get in the dumpster and remove that stuff.

Please be considerate and follow the rules. Putting stuff in there that doesn’t belong will only serve to get the dumpster removed. Having it here for the month of May is a good way to clean your house and yard of unwanted stuff.

The Toronto Library is offering free lunch to area kids this summer, every week day, from 12 am to 1 pm. You can grab a lunch and go or stay at the library and eat with other kids there and enjoy a book and conversation.

Congratulations to our library on recently being named a winner of the national literacy contest “Be Mighty for your Library Challenge”. Eight states across our country participated in this event. Three winners were announced at the One Word at a Time Gala: Toronto Public Library - Toronto, KS; Castleton Public Library Castleton, New York; and PQ Library - San Diego, CA.

Answer: Apples. That should have been an easy question, especially if you ever bobbed for apples. I wonder, does anyone still bob for apples at Halloween or other Fall festivities?
