Eureka softball dropped both games to Fredonia on Monday, May 11, to conclude regular season play.
In the opener, Eureka fell 1-11 despite out-hitting Fredonia 6-5. Brooke Johnson led the Tornadoes with two hits, while Madelyn Miller drove in Eureka’s lone run.
In the second game, Eureka battled in a backand- forth contest before falling 14-16. The Tornadoes jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning and finished with 11 hits in the game. Jersey Cox paced Eureka with three hits and four RBIs, while Wenonah Welsh, Miller and Amorette Guillaume each added multiple hits.
Eureka battled Central Heights on Monday, May 18 in the opening round of Regional 2 action.
