On Monday, May 11, Madelyn Miller officially signed her letter of intent to continue her softball career at Neosho County Community College, where she will play for the Panthers.
For Miller, playing college softball has been a longtime dream.
“As a kid I always knew I wanted to play for as long as possible, which soon developed into a dream to play in college,” she said.
Miller said the deciding factor in choosing Neosho Community College was the atmosphere surrounding the program.
“The program and culture of the team for sure, as well as the camaraderie among the coaches and players,” she said.
A catcher, Miller has earned several honors throughout her high school career, including First Team TVL All-League recognition for two years and Sports in Kansas Honorable Mention honors for two years.
Her passion for softball began at a young age and was strengthened through the bond she shared with her father.
“It was always something that brought me and my dad closer, which grew into a love for the sport itself in all aspects,” Miller said.
In addition to softball, Miller plans to pursue a degree in Elementary Education while attending Neosho Community College.
She is the daughter of Shelby and Scott Miller of Eureka and the granddaughter of Duke and Bonnie Coulter of Eureka and Linda and Terry Miller of Phoenix.
