Did you survive the busy Graduation and Mother’s Day weekend? I’ve often wondered why they have graduation the same weekend, and in some places the same day, as Mother’s Day. Maybe for some mothers getting their kid(s) graduated is the best gift?!

Have you seen many hummingbirds? I was standing at my kitchen sink the other day and saw something outside and I looked and it was a hummingbird on the honeysuckle. I don’t have a feeder out (I can’t keep the ants out without applying Vicks vapo rub or something equally strong with menthol to the wire it’s hanging by) maybe the honeysuckle is enough.

It was recently brought to my attention that 25 years ago when ‘America’s Most Wanted’ couple were captured in Toronto that Richard Groomes, Toronto City Marshall, played an active role in their capture. When something big like this happens, oftentimes the local law enforcement is not given any credit for their participation.
