Eureka Honors Club

The annual meeting of the Eureka Honors Club was called to order on April 16, at The Eureka Herald, at 12:05 p.m.

Club members in attendance included: (in person) Lexie Biering, Tammi Burtin, Jamie Lindamood and Robin Wunderlich; (via Zoom) Brent Torrey.

Lindamood made a motion for Wunderlich to continue serving as the club officers. Torrey seconded. Motion carried.

Wunderlich shared the treasurer’s report. Burtin made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report as presented. Lindamood seconded. Motion carried.

Lindamood made a motion to approve the April 17, 2025 minutes as presented. Burtin seconded. Motion carried.

The group agreed to provide a meat/cheese tray and other goodies to the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office during National Police Week (May 10-16, 2026) and Greenwood County EMS during National EMS Week (May 17-23, 2026).

Calendar, Easter Egg Hunt, Banquet and Super Bowl committees were discussed.

Lindamood made a motion to reimburse Wunderlich for honors clubs pins for seniors. Biering seconded. Motion carried.

A motion was made to award scholarships to the honor club students, as well as member’s family members who are graduating.

Wunderlich reminded the members that the annual Honors Club banquet, recognizing the top six students at Eureka Junior/ Senior High School (based on GPA), was scheduled for Wednesday, April 29.

Details will be included in next week’s edition.

Burtin made a motion to adjourn. Biering seconded. Motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 12:40 p.m.
