The April meeting of the Fancy Mustangs 4-H Club was the “Parents’ Meeting” and therefore the meeting was called to order by Parent-President, Sonya Stapleford on Wednesday, April 1. Roll call was called by Parent-Secretary, Jamie Lindamood and answered by “What is your favorite thing about Spring?” The Parent-Treasurer, Lyndse Greenwood read the treasurer’s report.
Council report was given by Sydney Lindamood and Lylly Stapleford, as was the “Leaders Report.” Much discussion was held about the upcoming Flint Hills Classic, buddy meeting and fair duties. All of the winners and participants from 4-H Days were awarded their ribbons. S. Lindamood spoke about Goats for the project meeting and L. Stapleford, pigs. It was decided that the Fancy Mustangs would host the Pee Wee Showmanship again at the Fair this year and award participants $2 bills and each species would be limited to 10.
For the program, L. Stapleford gave a project talk about the swine project.
For song, the club sang Happy Birthday to Titus Steele, and for recreation, they had a competitive rock, paper, scissors tournament, which Nora Collinge won!
The next meeting will be held on May 3.
