Eureka Junior High Track & Field Competed At JH Fredonia Relays
The Eureka junior high track teams turned in a strong showing at the Fredonia Relays on Tuesday, April 14, highlighted by multiple first-place finishes and record-breaking performances. The 8thgrade girls scored 34 points to place fifth, led by Andee Weatherby’s winning javelin throw that set a new school record, while the 7thgrade girls totaled 32 points with standout efforts from Khloe Crisswell, who broke school records in both the shot put and javelin. The 8th-grade boys finished fourth with 65 points behind several runner-up and relay performances, and the 7th-grade boys added 34 points and a pair of third-place finishes to round out a competitive day for the program.
Following are the individual placing results for Eureka participants: 8th Grade Girls Alivia Hare: 3rd Place in the Discus with a throw of 65’ 5”.
*Andee Weatherby: 1st Place in FlinnFlier Javelin with a throw of 78’ 1”. This throw beats the current school record of 75’ 11” set by Weatherby in the Eureka Classic on April 7.
7th Grade Girls
*Khloe Crisswell: 1st Place in Shot put with a throw of 33’ 9”. This throw beats the current school record of 32’ 8” set by Crisswell in the Eureka Classic on April 7. 1st Place in FlinnFlier Javelin with a throw of 105’ 6”. This throw beats the current school record of 87’ 9” set by Crisswell in the Eureka Classic on April 7.
Emma Henley: 3rd Place in the 3200M Run with a time of 21:09.33.
Molly Dehlinger: 3rd Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 11’ 4.5”.
8th Grade Boys Cord Adkins: 2nd Place in the High Jump with a jump of 5’ 0”.
Asher Euler: 2nd Place in Shot Put with a throw of 33’ 8.25”; 2nd Place in Discus with a throw of 92’ 0”.
Marcus Pearce: 3rd Place in the 3200M Run with a time of 13:58.26.
4 x 100 Meter Relay: 2nd Place with a time of 50.66 consisting of: Maverick Welsh, Felix Neil, Cord Adkins, and Marcus Pearce.
800 M Medley Relay: 3rd Place with a time of 1:56.82 consisting of: Asher Euler, Sebastien Guillaume, Gavin Gonzalez, and Marcus Pearse.
7th Grade Boys Jessn Ogden: 3rd Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 14’ 2.25”.
Blake Wells: 3rd Place in the 3200M Run with a time of 15:01.26.

Eureka will travel to Neodesha on Monday, April 27 at 3 p.m. before hosting the Eureka Invitational on Thursday, April 30 at 2 p.m. and the Tri-Valley League meet on Tuesday, May 5 at 3 p.m.
