How do you stop the squirrels from digging up your flower bulbs? I have several bulbs that were planted last fall and some have come up, but not all of them. This darn squirrel has dug up and run off with at least three bulbs and I caught him before he absconded with one of my tulips. I’ve been trying hard the past five years to plant some flowers and Mother Nature and the critters in the yard are against me.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the majority of the equipment is gone from the worksite at Cedar Creek Bridge north of town. The road bed has been built up and they are waiting for the paving crew to come in and lay down new pavement. Dare we hope to think it might actually be done by the end of the month?

Of course that will be weather permitting and we are supposed to get rain nearly every day for the next 10-14 days. It is that time of year after all.
