The Eureka businesswomen met on Tuesday, April 7, at TNT Catering in Eureka. There were 11 members and three guests present. Guests were Samantha Zimmerman, Caitlyn Sanner and Sasha Haehn. Zimmerman and Sanner were the Businesswomen of for the month, and Haehn presented informtion to the club on the Safe Streets 4 All’Reka project. Roll call was answered by “What did you do for Easter?’

The minutes of the last meeting were given and approved as read. The treasurer’s report was given and approved as read.

Announcements were made. Anneliese Brubaker from the Eureka Public Library shared they were planing to host a 55+ Art Club on Thursday, April 9.

There was no correspondence. There was no old business. There was no new business.

Special speaker for the evening was Haehn, She is the public affairs project manager for JEO Consulting Group. She explained the Safety Action Plan for the Safe Streets 4 All’Reka. They are working with the City of Eureka to make the streets and sidewalks of Eureka safer for the community. She gave the club members a handout regarding Safety Action Plan requirements, What We’ve Heard So Far, Safety Action Plan Concepts, Data informed safety action plan and safety action plan focus group comment form.

The businesswomen of the month were Zimmerman and Sanner. Zimmerman owns and operates Peony Health & Beauty. She was born and raised in Eureka. Zimmerman has always had a passion for taking care of patients. She has two children. Sanner is a nurse at Peony Health & Beauty. They have offices in Burlington, Eureka and Chanute. They have over 100 services available, including facials, weight loss, hormone replacement therapy and aesthetic services. They are in the Eureka office two times a month and the hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by appointment. Handouts were given to club members regarding services they offer.

Door prize was won by Vicki French, She won a $50 gift card to Peony Health & Beauty.

The club sang Happy Birthday to Zimmerman who had an April birthday.

Hostesses for the evening were Tonya Casper and Ashleigh Casper.

The meeting closed with the Club Collect.
