The Eureka Junior High track team kicked off their season with a home track meet on Tuesday, April 7. The 8th grade boys finished in second place with 137 points and the 8th grade girls placed 4th with 39 points. The 7th grade boys finished the day in 4th pace with 45 points and the girls placed 5th with 49 points. Following are the individual results for Eureka participants: 8TH GRADE GIRLS *Andee Weatherby- 2nd Place in FlinnFlier Javelin with a throw of 75’ 11. ” This throw beats the current school record of 74’ 9” held by Arabella Shepherd in 2024. 4 x 100 Meter Relay- 3rd Place with a time of 1:04.79 consisting of: Natalie Pennington, Naomi Jordaan, Alivia Hare and Shaylyn Werner.
4 x 200 Meter Relay- 3rd Place with a time of 2:21.44 consisting of: Reagon Ashlock, Kinsley Cox, Andee Weatherby and Kaylee Palmer.
7TH GRADE GIRLS Khloe Crisswell- 1st Place in Shot Put with a throw of 33’ 8”. 1st Place in the FlinnFlier Throw with a throw of 87’ 9” * Khloe Crisswell- 1st Place in Shot put with a throw of 33’ 8”. This throw beats the current school record of 32’ 5” held by Lydia King in 2014; 1st Place in FlinnFlier Javelin with a throw of 87’ 9”. This throw beats the current school record of 78’ 0” held by Andee Weatherby in 2025. Mia Ptacek- 3rd Place tie in the 100M Dash with a time of 15.06; 1st Place in the 200M Dash with a time of 30.99. 4 x 100 Meter Relay- 2nd Place with a time of 1:03.26 consisting of: Molly Dehlinger, Mia Ptacek, Emma Henley, and Khloe Crisswell.
8TH GRADE BOYS Cord Adkins- 3rd Place in the High Jump with a jump of 5’ 0”. Asher Euler- 2nd Place in Shot Put with a throw of 34’ 9”. Sebastion Guillaume- 1 st Place in the 400M Dash with a time of 1:02.54. Henry Lindamood- 2nd Place in the 3200M Run with a time of 17:33.15. 3rd Place in the 1600M Run with a time of 7:52.57. Liam Mead- 2nd Place in Discus with a throw of 90’ 00”. Marcus Pearce- 1 st Place in the 3200M Run with a time of 13:36.13 *Felix Neill- 3rd Place in the 100M Hurdles with a time of 19.79. This run creates a new school record for the 100M hurdles that was added to our league this year; 1st Place in the Triple Jump with a jump of 32’ 7.5”. Maverick Welsh- 1st Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 16’ 0” Cooper Wunderlich- 2nd Place in the Triple jump with a jump of 24’ 10.5”; 4 x 100 Meter Relay- 2nd Place with a time of 52.82 consisting of: Maverick Welsh, Felix Neil, Cord Adkins, and Marcus Pearce. 4 x 200 Meter Relay- 2nd Place with a time of 2:00.60 consisting of: Cord Adkins, Brandon Cornett, Felix Neill, and Sebastion Guillaume.
800 M Medley Relay- 3rd Place with a time of 2:06.20 consisting of: Asher Euler, Sebastion Guillaume, Gavin Gonzalez and Brian Craig.
7TH GRADE BOYS Jessn Ogden- 2nd Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 14’ 8”; Blake Wells- 1st Place in the 3200M Run with a time of 15:46.76; 3rd Place in the 1600M Run with a time of 7:15.33; 1st Place in the 200M Dash with a time of 29.38.
