The Eureka track and field team turned in a strong all-around performance at the Eureka Trials Invitational on Thursday, April 10, highlighted by multiple event wins and dominant showings on both the girls and boys sides.
The girls team was led by standout distance runner Rose Buck, who captured first place in both the 800-meter and 1600meter, while teammate Britta Mongeau finished runner-up in both events. McKenna McDonald added another victory in the 400-meter dash and Eureka’s relay teams impressed with first-place finishes in both the 4x100 and 4x400.
On the boys side, Peyton Hare sprinted to a firstplace finish in the 200meter dash, while Luc Guillaume won the 300meter hurdles and placed second in the 110-meter hurdles. The boys 4x100 relay team also secured a first-place finish.
