Community members were able to celebrate the Easter holiday together with various events.
Festivities began with “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny,” hosted by the Kind Like Kenlee Memorial (KLKM), at Eureka Junior/ Senior High School.
The event included several chance drawings. A list of winners will be included in a future edition.
Eureka Nursing Center Community Easter Egg Hunt The Eureka Nursing Center hosted their annual Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. at their facility. Special prizes were won by Emersyn Lazar, age 0-3; Korbynn Winn, age 4-6; Brixton Shaw, age 7-9 and Harper Roberson, age 10-12.
Eureka Honors Club Community Easter Egg Hunt The annual Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by the Eureka Honors Club, with the cooperation of area businesses and individuals, was held this past Saturday, at McGinnis Field, in Eureka.



The four individual hunts took only a few minutes each, as the children quickly gathered plastic eggs, prize eggs, candy and other goodies.
Youngsters in the 1 through 3 age division went first; age 4 through kindergarten were next; first, second and third graders followed with the fourth, fifth and sixth graders concluding the festivities.
There was one egg worth $10 in each area (sponsored by Downing’s Inc.), along with 20 $5 eggs and three “prize” eggs. In addition, there were 3,000 plastic eggs each worth 10 cents.
Those finding special prize eggs, included: Ages 1-3: Giant Peep: Emma Knowles; Prize Eggs: Milo Dennis and Talon Powell; $10 Egg: Kolt Bulter; $5 Eggs: Oakley King, Milo Dennis, Parker Wilson, Emma Knowles, Emma Knowles, Scotty McCoy, Reverie Hayes and Waylon Boykin.
Age 4-Kindergarten: Giant Peep: Rook Samuels; Prize Eggs Noah Sanborn and Kinlee Guerrero; $10 Egg: EmmyLou Hayes; $5 Eggs: Zaden Marshall, Makayla Kordupel, Kydon Ramsey and Korbynn Winn.
Grades 1st-3rd: Giant Peep: Jordy Rockhill; Prize Eggs: Scarlet Whittaker and Georgia Spillman; $10 Egg: Remington Genoble; $5 Eggs: Tessa Nutsch, Briella Sanchez, Daniel Harris, Carson Eismann, Tallion Shaw x2, Luna Kern, Mae Starr and Asher Boone.
Grades 4th-6th: Giant Peep: Adalyn Osborne; Prize Eggs: Joslynn Henley and Adam Brodie; $10 Egg: Harper Roberson; $5 Eggs: Audrey Wallace x2, Mason Marshall, Carter Ring, Brystle Osborne, Lucas Stump, Max Morris, Brylee Boone x2 and Gunner Jordan About The Eureka Honors Club The Eureka Honors Club was organized in the fall of 2015, following the disbandment of the Kiwanis Club of Eureka.
The Eureka Honors Club hosts a community Easter egg hunt, the annual honors banquet as well as creating the community birthday calendars.
