Three Eureka High School students claimed hardware at the 2A State Powerlifting meet on Saturday, March 28, at Royal Valley.
Eureka lifters posted impressive totals, earning multiple top-10 finishes, with three making the podium.
Senior Will Fitzwater secured 2nd overall with a total of 885 pounds lifted, while junior Mason Hughes also finished 2nd overall, lifting 655 pounds. Senior Peyton Hare captured 3rd overall with a massive 975pound total.
Others representing Eureka were: Emma Baumgartel (5th, 335 lbs), Brooklyn Ogden (6th, 425 lbs), Charles Granado (9th, 535 lbs), James Bauer (14th, 790 lbs), Fisher Hobbs (18th, 360 lbs), Camden Wunderlich (22nd, 610 lbs), and JaKolby Robbins, who posted a bench press of 220 pounds.
