A Piedmont family is celebrating the arrival of their newborn son, Bryer Lee Decker, who made an early entrance into the world at just 31 weeks.
Although he arrived nine weeks ahead of schedule, Bryer showed remarkable strength at birth, weighing 5 pounds 2 ounces and measuring 18 inches long. He was born at 11:25 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, at Wesley Medical Center, where he is currently receiving care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
His par-ents, Jeff and Doris, say Bryer is continuing to fight and grow stronger each day under the watchful care of medical staff.
