The Greenwood County Historical Society will host a local showing of the film "Oa - sis on the Prairie" featuring Greenwood County ranchers and how they have adapted to changing circumstances through the last 100 years.
The documentary shows local Greenwood County ranchers who represent many in the area who work to maintain the grasslands and economy in this part of the Flint Hills. The event will be Monday, March 30, at 7 p.m. in the Greenwood County Muse- um, 120 W 4th Street, Eu reka. Those attending the free event will see familiar faces and places and hear the stories of several local ranch families. The Greenwood County Cattlemen’s Association had the documentary made for their 100th year celebration and it showcases both the cattle industry and the history of Greenwood County.
