Madison Pacesetters 4-H Club

The monthly meeting of the Madison Pacesetters was called to order by President Cooper Luthi on March 4. John Curry led the club in saying the “Pledge of Allegiance” and the “4-H pledge.” The roll call was “What is your favorite season?” Roll call was answered by 38 members one cloverbud and two leaders. A quorum was present.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read aloud by Secretary Jorja Beeman and were approved by signing by President Cooper Luthi. The treasurer’s report was given by Wyatt Hoag. The reporter’s report was given by Haddie Mae Seaton. There was an ambassadors meeting. They talked about having a project meeting at Memorial Hall on March 21. The project meeting will be from 1-3 p.m. Brynn Roth told the club that we needed to be registered to be able to attend.

Ty Gaines gave the leader's report, and said that we needed to make a motion for $100 going toward 4-H camp/discovery days. During the leader's report T. Gaines said that the group needed to donate $50 to the trophy fund. T. Gaines told the club that if they were going to be in shooting sports that they needed to attend the safety meeting. T. Gaines told everyone that there will be a record book workshop on March 10, 2026. T. Gaines also reminded everyone that the beef weigh in is at Luthi’s Ranch from 1-5 p.m. T. Gaines also told everyone not to forget that they will have a conjoined meeting with the Willow Valley Go-Getters on April 12 and there will be no meeting on April 1. The main reminder was that they have model meeting regionals on March 28.

There was no old business.

In new business, the group moved to donate $50 to the trophy fund and $100 to 4-H camp/discovery days. Mason McDonald moved to pay the bills.

The gavel was then passed to the Vice President Roth for the program, Happy Birthday was sung to Cooper Luthi, Gracelynn Stock, Maelee Shankie, Archer Schankie, Reese Hurlburt and Laikyn Henke. Gage Gibson had a parliamentary tip. W. Hoag had a project talk about washing his steer. Peyton Hoag had a project talk about “picking a good show goat.” Tucker Shankie had a project talk about preparing his show steer. Maelee Shankie had a project talk about growing her own vegetables. Archer Schankie had a show and share about fishing and what his favorite fish is to eat and catch.

The gavel was then passed back to the President Cooper Luthi for the remainder of the meeting.

Kenyon Curry moved to adjourn the meeting by saying the 4-H motto, and the motion passed.

Lane Henke led the club in saying the 4H motto and the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting is April 12, with the Willow Valley Go-Getters at the Hamilton school at 7 p.m.
