This Sunday, March 8, Daylight Saving Time (DST) will go into effect for many across the United States. The annual practice of setting clocks one hour ahead in the spring and one hour back in the fall is to “shift” daylight into the evening hours during warmer months.
In 2026, DST begins on Sunday, March 8 at 2 a.m. local time, when clocks “spring forward” an hour, and ends on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 2 a.m., when clocks “fall back” to standard time.
