Richard Algin Pearse, 78, of Eureka, died on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka.
A surviving family member was inadvertently left out of the obituary that was published in The Eureka Herald on Feb. 18.
Richard is survived by his four children: Tracy (Russell) McCoy of Neal; Rick (Stacie) Pearse of Eureka; Marcia Pearse of Eureka; and Michelle Watts of Eureka; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Beverley Swaim of Little Rock, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Joyce.
Graveside services were held on Feb. 19.
