The American Red Cross Blood Drive, held on Friday, Feb. 27, yielded 27 successful units of blood collected. Two first time donors donated and were greatly needed to replace those who may no longer be eligible.
Many donors made appointments to donate again at the next drive on June 2.
The Eureka United Methodist Church contributes comfortable space for these blood drives while Greenwood County Hospital Auxiliary offers volunteers and Community Benefit Women's Educational Club coordinates and provides fresh baked pies for donors and staff.
To make an appointment for the June 2, drive, between 12 and 6 p.m. call 800-RED-CROSS or use the sponsor code EurekaKS in the Blood Donor App or RedCrossBlood.org.
