The Madison Bulldogs faced Lyndon last Friday, for their final game in regular season action.
The Madison girls fell to Lyndon 34-49 in a defensive battle. The Bulldogs trailed 11-16 at halftime before Lyndon pulled away in the second half. Scoring for Madison were Sadie Albert 18, Caylin Luthi 8, Rylee Darbro 6 and Jenna Thomsen 2.
In the boys game, Madison dropped a 54-66 decision. The Bulldogs were down 23-29 at halftime and trailed 38-47 entering the fourth. Scoring for Madison were Octavian Dean 18, Javier Alba Mendez 17, Brayden Grimmett 9, Lane Smith 6 and Cory Yowell and Colton Cordell each scored 2.
Madison now prepares for Class 1A Division I substate play. The girls (12-8) host Fairfield on Feb. 24 at 6 p.m., while the boys (146) hosted Skyline (5-16) on Monday of this week. The winner will advance to face Little River in semifinal action on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m.
