During a special halftime ceremony Friday, Feb. 13, West Elk High School crowned its 2026 Winter Homecoming King and Queen.
Seniors Heath Dick and Baylee Hogan were named this year’s royalty. Dick is the son of Marty and Endra Dick of Moline, and Hogan is the daughter of Michael and Venessa Hogan of Moline.
Kindergarten attendants Kestyn McTaggart and Reece Fulsom also took part in the ceremony. They were escorted by 2025 Winter Homecoming King Boedy Murphy and 2025 Fall Homecoming Queen Molly Harshman.
Other members of the 2026 Winter Homecoming court included: Queen candidates: Mylie Nault, Rachel Humphrey and Sydney Mott and King Candidates: Edward Metcalf, Jackson Lee and Jared Tucker.

A winter formal (Homecoming dance) was held on Sat., Feb. 14.
