The Eureka community will partner with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Friday, Feb. 27, from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 521 N. Main, Eureka.
Winter storms have caused a severe blood shortage nationwide, with critical need for Type O, A negative and B negative blood. Hospitals in some areas have been forced to delay procedures due to low supplies.
All donors who give between Jan. 26 and Feb. 28, 2026, will receive a $20 e-gift card. Donors age 18+ can also receive a bonus Red Cross x Metallica T-shirt by completing an online form prior to donating.
Appointments are encouraged and can be made at RedCrossBlood.org using zip code 67045.
Community members are urged to schedule an appointment and help ensure lifesaving blood is available for patients in need.
