The Eureka Senior Center is calling on the community to help its vital Friendship Meals program, which provides nutritious, affordable lunches to local residents.
Meals are served Monday- Friday at noon at the senior center, located at 209 N. Oak St., in Eureka. Frozen meals are also available for the weekend to ensure seniors continue to have access to balanced nutrition beyond weekdays.
The suggested contribution is $5 per meal for individuals age 60 and older and $6.50 for those under 60. However, donations from the community help keep the program strong and ensure no one is turned away due to inability to contribute.
Those wishing to pay for meals or make a donation by check should make checks payable to SCKAAA Nutrition and send in care of the Eureka Senior Center, 209 N. Oak St., Eureka, KS 67045.
Community members who would like more information or wish to support the program can call 620583-9274.
