Lady Tornado Basketball Dominated Bluestem Lions

The Eureka Lady Tornadoes closed out a busy three-game week on the road at Bluestem, and the Lady Lions proved no match as Eureka rolled to a commanding 79–20 league victory.

From the opening tip, the Lady Tornadoes set the tone with relentless pressure and balanced scoring. Lydia Mason got things started with a three-pointer, igniting a first-quarter surge. Six different Lady Tornadoes found the scoring column in the opening frame, with Arabella Shepherd leading the way with seven points. Eureka’s defense forced turnovers and converted them into easy transition baskets, building a dominant 26–5 lead after one quarter.

The offensive balance continued in the second quarter, as once again six players contributed points. Elle Coulter sparked the offense with eight points in the frame. Bluestem managed 10 second-quarter points, but Eureka’s pace and pressure pushed the halftime margin to 46–15.

Brenna Rucker took over in the third quarter, catching fire with 14 points in the period alone.

Meanwhile, the Lady Tornado defense smothered Bluestem, allowing just a single basket in the quarter.

With a running clock in the fourth quarter, Eureka added nine more points while limiting Bluestem to just three to secure the 79–20 victory.

Rucker led the scoring effort with 18 points, followed closely by Coulter with 16. Sydney Lindamood added 11 points, Shepherd contributed nine, Britta Mongeau finished with eight, and Mason added seven. Alaina Westerman and Hannah Perrier each chipped in four, while Milly Koop rounded out the scoring with two.
