Competed Against Bartlesville, Okla.

Members of the Eureka Tornado high school boys wrestling team traveled to Caney on Tuesday, Feb. 10 for dual action against Bartlesville, Okla. Eureka lost the dual 6-59. The Tornadoes lost by default in the 144, 157, 165, 175 and 190-pound weight classes. Both teams were open in the 106 and 113 divisions.

Following are the results for Eureka wrestlers: 120: Maddox Hughes lost a 4-15 major decision to Nicholas Davis.

126: Mason Hughes lost a 3-17 major decision to Jeremiah Russell. 132: Tate Scott lost a 0-6 decision to Kain Garrett.

138: Christian Sanchez lost by fall to Joshua Vahus (Fall 3:57).

150: Darby Newman lost by fall to Liam Buchanan (Fall 1:10).

190: Charles Granado won by default.

215: Hunter Olsen lost by fall to Nicholos Miller (Fall 1:00).

285: Killian Harrington lost by fall to Jordin Goss (Fall 2:19).

Up Next

The Tornadoes begin postseason action this Saturday at home as they host a 3-1A Regional. The top four in each division will advance to the 3-1A State contest in Hays, Feb. 27-28.
